Okay so Im really angry because I cant even GO on Tumblr without people misusing terminology and making everything into a race problem and Im sick of it. I was willing to ignore it before no matter how ignorant the claims were (Im not claiming theyre all false, but the specific ones Im referring to have no basis for arguement and make illogical sense). But Im more angry about the fact that I literally just saw a post about how cosplayers who modify their skin tone are racist? Can I please ask how? Like if someone was to cosplay a favorite character with lighter/darker skin, how is it racist either way? Are they claiming a race is superior over another because of their cosplay? And I also included the prejudice definition as well just to show for arguements sake that its not prejudice either because that would imply that they somehow passed judgement prior due to the race which also makes no sense.
Im just sick of people trying to cut other people down for absolutely everything. How come everything has a negative undertone? Why cant people just do harmless things without getting called out for violating things way far off from what it actually is/was intended to be? We wonder why the things we say dont get the intended impact, and why our words lack the amount of meaning they were intended to have. But its because only so many people can cry wolf before people stop listening to the cause as a whole. Rant over.
